Since April of 2013, the #Not1More campaign has worked to stop individual deportations, pass local legislation to limit involvement in removal efforts, and organized civil disobediences and mobilizations to pressure the President to act.

As anticipation of potential executive action by President Obama grows, local grassroots immigrant rights groups and leaders in the national #Not1More campaign and community members are planning to gather at 5:00pm to watch the President’s announcement, followed by immediate reactions by those who will be directly helped or harmed by the President’s decision.

We will also have an all day art exhibit of about 100 silhouettes representing workers, immigrant youth, and other members of the community along with a poster exhibit from the Not1More, No Papers No Fear, and Alto Arizona campaigns.

In the evening, Grammy Award-winning La Santa Cecilia and NDLON’s House Band Los Jornaleros del Norte will bring music one more time to Chant Down the Walls, while images of what it took to get us to this moment are projected for everyone present to see.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

9:00am: Art Exhibit in the Street (Silhouette Display; Not1More, No Papers No Fear, Alto Arizona Poster Exhibit)
