Celebrating the life and ministry of Father Richard Estrada

Celebrating the life and ministry of Father Richard Estrada who, at a memorial mass and service at St. John’s Cathedral, was revered as one who was always with our pueblos walking alongside those who faced injustice – understanding their conditions as one of them – and creating solidarity.

As Rev. Dr Francisco Garcia proposed, at a period of time when “authoritarianism is at our door – when immigrants are unjustly being picked up – when families are afraid – and the borders are being militarized – we all need to live like him” – and he would be out there now with justice and compassion in the forefront – “sending a delegation to El Salvador – going to the border – organizing to find solutions – advancing a sanctuary movement – and advocating for a just economy.”
