Latino and Latina Roundtable Meeting this Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 PM

You are invited to the Latino and Latina Roundtable membership meeting this Saturday, October 20 beginning at 1 PM at the Solidarity Center at the Village (1444 E. Holt Ave. in Pomona — Entrance #3 – Classroom 6).  In addition to a report from the director and discussion on our efforts in immigrant rights and education issues, we will discuss elections for the Executive Board (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) which are scheduled for our November 17 meeting at 1 PM at the Solidarity Center.

Your Invitation to Latino and Latina Roundtable Meeting this Saturday at 1 PM

This is your invitation to the Latino and Latina Roundtable membership meeting this Saturday, April 21 beginning at 1 PM at our new offices (the Solidarity Center) at the Village (1444 E. Holt Ave. in Pomona — Entrance #3 – Classroom 6).  We ask that you arrive on time because we have a lot to discuss.  Among some of the items: a summary of the Cesar Chavez breakfast and the Pilgrimage and Festival; the upcoming city council meeting in San Dimas regarding SB-54; update on the College for all Coalition pipeline to college efforts; a proposal to head up an immigrant rights forum as part of the Poor People’s campaign, status of rent control petition in Pomona, and our part in upcoming efforts regarding Beautification day at Cesar Chavez Park, May 1,  annual Fernando Pedraza Memorial, and Salinas Farmworker Center opening celebration.

Latino and Latina Roundtable Meeting

This is your reminder and invitation to the Latino and Latina Roundtable  meeting to elect seven board members on Saturday, November 11 at 1 PM at the Broad Center Room 208 at Pitzer College (1050 N. Mills Ave.).  It is important that members present at this meeting to vote.  In addition to the election, we will have committee reports on our activities – including developments related to our office, the new director, immigrant rights resolution before Pomona City Council, and the implementation of college readiness and pipeline to college plans.

Latina/o Roundtable Meeting this Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1 PM

 

The next meeting of the Latino and Latina Roundtable will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 1 PM in the Pitzer College Broad Center Room 208 (1050 North Mills Avenue in Claremont).  One of the main items of the agenda will be to nominate members, from our membership, for seven director positions on the board of directors.  In addition to the nomination process, we will also discuss the status of our new office, status of selecting a director for the organization, the I. D. Equality petition, College for all Coalition, and upcoming LRT activities (Dia de los Muertos at the dA Center on November 5).
