Pomona educator, students to be recognized at Cesar Chavez breakfast
A Garey High School educator, a Los Angeles area state lawmaker, a long-time labor leader and area students will be recognized during the annual Cesar Chavez Day breakfast taking place Friday.
The fund-raising event, which is in its… tenth year, will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at the Avalon on the grounds of Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave. Proceed from the event go toward educational scholarships and to supporting regional efforts in areas such as economic development, immigration, labor and other local and national policy issues.
