Your invitation to The Art In/of Diversity Exhibition opening on Saturday, September 13, 2014 (from 5 – 9 PM) at the dA Center for the Arts (252 S. Main St. #D) in Pomona. The exhibition will feature some of the social movement works of our own community-based photographers Manoj Jayagoda and Melissa Ayala and the poetry of Ernie Ordaz. The exhibition will also feature dA Community Artists, Poets, and Musicians. The opening night panel (from 5 to 6 PM), which will focus on the importance of art in creating unity, inclusion, and social change – will include John Maguire, Peter Harris, Everett Vigil “Manchild,” Jose Zapata Calderon, and Cheryl Williams-Jackson. A reception with music and poetry will follow from 6 to 9 PM.
