Victim Of ICE

The parents of Alex Pretti released a statement this evening after the 37-year-old Minneapolis VA ICU nurse was shot and killed during a federal immigration enforcement operation in south Minneapolis.

Federal officials “claim” it was in self-defense, but Pretti’s parents said the Trump administration is spreading “lies” about their son and insisted he was holding his phone as he tried to protect a woman. Their statement described the family as “heartbroken but also very angry,” and urged the public to “get the truth out” as questions swirl over what videos appear to show.
The news reverberated in the Inland Empire a day after @indivisibleriverside’s “ICE Out for Good” protest, where demonstrators cited the Jan. 7 killing of U.S. citizen Renée Nicole Good and said the disputed shootings are fueling outrage far beyond Minnesota — and raising urgent questions about whether ICE’s rapid hiring surge is putting undertrained agents on the street.
