Some of Friends and family who organized a “celebration of life” for long-time community-based peace and human rights advocate and organizer Elaine Schmidt on World Day of Social Justice.

The Celebration included numerous moving presentations; a pot-luck dinner (which was one of Elaine’s tools in organizing and bringing people from diverse backgrounds together); and the creation of a large circle at the end with the singing of De Colores.
