Thank you to the Cal State University Channel Islands Chicanx Latinx Faculty and Staff Association and students for inviting me to do the keynote address at the 5th Annual Si Se Pudo! Graduation under the theme “El Derecho de Vivir en Paz: Fighting For Our Lives.” So impressed with the large number of graduates and first gen and the number of abuelitos, children, and families who walked onstage alongside their graduate to be honored together.
