Protect Every Park

This Saturday, August 23, is a Day of Action to learn about the challenges and opportunities facing our national parks, then use your voice to advocate on their behalf. With over 400 parks of various shapes and sizes around the country, our National Parks “preserve national and cultural heritage” and share our history with future generations. On this weekend’s Day of Action, there will be events around the country from the Tule Lake National Monument in California to the Stonewall National Monument in New York to the Valley Forge National Historical Park in Pennsylvania. Walked Alongside Brother Jerry Ryan

Walked alongside Brother Jerry Ryan in “UFW March for the Governor’s Signature” and we were hurting at the end – and came to understand the tremendous sacrifice that so many are making in walking all the way to Sacramento. Join the march if you possibly can for whatever day or days that you can – and send a message to Governor Newsom to sign AB 2183, the CA Agricultural Labor Relations Voting Choice Act – which would give more choices to farm workers so they can vote free from intimidation. AB 2183 offers the same voting choices Gov. Newsom used to defeat the GOP recall election. His veto came despite huge support for the bill in both state houses. Thank you John Jue for this picture.
