Supporting rally and march in Covina of El Super workers as the UFCW 1428 bargaining team continues to negotiate for living wages (that keep up with the cost of living and treat the workers with dignity).
In recent negotiations, the company has rejected any wage increase arguing that “it doesn’t work for them,” a response that not only ignores but disregards the unwavering dedication of these essential workers who risked their lives to keep operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The UFCW, in response to these insults, is escalating the organizing – and today marched into the store – with workers and allies – presenting their contract demands signed and backed by all the workers- to a company representative who met with them.
