Happy New Year! Here are some friendly reminders and updates:
1. We will be having an Open House on 1/24/2026 from 1-3 pm. We will have a flier for you all soon. The new address is: 545 W. 2nd Street, Pomona, CA 91766, our phone number is still the same- (909) 480-6267. We will have food, music, and time with each other. It will be a good time to visit our new office and renew your membership.
2. There will be a Roundtable Discussion/Forum later this month on the U.S. invasion of Venezuela and the potential implications on immigration. We will be meeting over zoom. Please stay tuned for more information on this topic and the forum. We are working on securing dates that work for our speakers.
3. Deadline approaching – Nominate someone for the Cesar Chavez Breakfast. I sent several emails requesting nominations. If you have someone to nominate, there is still time. The deadline is this Sunday January 11th.Please follow the submission process in the attached forms or by using this link: https://forms.gle/aWmb9zBWU5RdXczr9.
4. The Social Justice Scholarship is open. These scholarships are given out at the Cesar Chavez Breakfast in March. Please share with students in the SGV who are making a difference in their communities and working for social change. 2026 Social Justice Scholarship, which is awarded at our Annual Cesar Chavez Breakfast. Please feel free to share this opportunity within your networks.
