You are invited to a Global Day of Healing gathering on Friday and a march/cultural event on Saturday. There will be a get-together ceremony this next Friday, April 24 at Si Se Puede Park (2720 Barjud ave. In Pomona) from 3 – 5 pm. As a result of recent events, we will be renaming

the park and also redoing the murals there. Mayor Tim Sandoval will be at this gathering to propose renaming the park “Si Se Puede” park and the muralist Paul Botello will present his suggestions on how he will change the murals. Since it is “International Day of Healing,” we will also have a short ceremony on the meaning of healing and how we cannot hold back but continue to organize. After, students and others will make posters and flags for our annual Pilgrimage march which will take place on Saturday, April 25 – beginning at 9:30 am from the Pride Center to Tony Cerda Park – led by renowned band Jonaleros del Norte (where we will join with the Ohlone Pow Wow for a ceremony and cultural performances).
